Dash 8 Cabin Crew Trainer

Industry first Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 Crew Cabin Trainer with additional 100/200/300 options was completed in 2007.

The CCT was constructed for FlightSafety International for the purpose of training Dash 8 Operators world wide. The Trainer may be used for:

  • Cabin Crew Training
  • Service Trainings
  • Door Operation Training
  • Type Specific Dash 8 Cabin Training
  • Security and Drug Enforcement Training
  • Nervous Flyer Program
  • Crew Resource Management
  • Emergency Smoke Training
  • Pilot Procedures Training
  • Pilot Egress Training
Equipped with 32 Passenger Seats and 2 Flight Attendant Seats allow of a maximum class size of 34 students. This large class size offers more flexibility for the trainer while providing realism to the training scenario. The large class size also increases device utilization while lowering overall training cost per student.

The Dash 8 Cabin Trainer is equipped with all Q400 Exit Door including cockpit escape hatch along with right and left side 100/200/300 under wing exit doors. All doors match that of the aircraft for form, fit and function. The main airstair and aft galley doors are equipped with door jamming features. High wear areas and interior handles have been reinforced to endure the rigors training.

The Trainers Q400 Type II/III Door may be used when training emergency evacuation for both ground and water ditching scenarios. Exterior bumper affixed to the Trainer Base dampens the impact to the bottom section of the hatch when opened. This helps to protect the door and hinge components from damage and excessive wear. There is no need for a technician to be present outside the Type II/III door to catch the hatch while it swings open, elimination the risk of human injury and Aircraft damage.

The Flight Attendant Panel is designed to accommodate various Dash 8 operator configurations. The panel is pre-programmed to meet various operator specific needs. Configuration is selected through the Instructor Operation Station.

All aircraft electrical components such as lighting, illuminated signs, communications, galleys functions can be controlled via our Program Logic Control (PLC). The PLC allows for full control over all aircraft systems making malfunction incorporation and modifications simple and straight forward. All or any system may be failed and/or monitored via the IOS. This is a great advantage for the Training Operator in building any type of training or malfunction scenario.
