Door Jam

Door Malfunctions are controlled independently via the ‘Door Malfunction’ page on the IOS. Instructor has full control over the activation and deactivation of each door jamming feature or can active it through a pre-programmed customized trainer scenario.
Unique to Aviation Reproduction Inc. is the ability to Jam a door handle at a specific point of its travel.

Door Full Jam - Q400 Galley Door Jammed at 5% of Travel

With this option selected the student will only be able to move the handle approximately 5% before hitting the jam.

Door Partial Jam - Q400 Galley Door Jammed at 75% of Travel

With this option selected the student will be able to move the door handle approximately 75% of travel. Allowing the handle to travel this amount leads the student to believe that the door is functional correctly and builds the adrenaline and awareness adding to the training realism.
